Jared Fogle Deletes Facebook Account; Due to Relationship Drama Amid Child Pornography Scandal?

Jared Fogle, formerly known as Subway's superstar, appears to have deleted his public Facebook page, according to Food Beast. The page had previously been an easy arena to scour for photos of the food celebrity, but because of his recent child pornography scandal, it seems the former Subway sandwich chain pitchman has had enough.

On Tuesday, reports came out that his charity was suspected to be a sham. He is also facing jail time for his child pornography.

Fogle has plead guilty and agreed to pay $1.4 million to 14 of his underage victims. He will also be registered a sex offender as well as face jail time for up to 12.5 years, according to the Associated Press.

Between 2010 and 2013, Fogle reportedly traveled to New York City a couple of times to seek sex with minors. He has had sexual acts at least twice with a girl he knew to be 17 years old, telling her he would "make it worth her while" if she could search for another minor who could have sex with him.

"The younger the girl, the better," Jared said, according to a court indictment.

Prosecutors add that Fogle repeatedly requested prostitutes to get him girls aged 14 and 15 to have sex with him.

After his latest hearing, Jared Fogle's wife, Katie, said in a statement released by her lawyer that she would be ending their marriage, according to Reuters.

"Obviously, I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared. I am in the process of seeking a dissolution of the marriage," she said in the statement.

Despite Jared Fogle's Facebook page disappearing, his Wikipedia description reportedly still pops up.

It appears that Subway is also trying their best to cast off their association with Fogle. However, according to Brand Channel, it jas taken quite a while before the brand fired Jared Fogle from being their spokesman.

Subway, which is turning 50 this year, erased all connections to Fogle only last month, July 7, following FBI's raid of his home. It was only then that Subway reportedly decided to "suspend their relationship" with their brand ambassador.

Brand Channel suspects that the sandwich giant simply became comfortable, even lazy, with their relationship to Jared Fogle that they ignored long-time rumors that he had been a porn peddler in the past.
