Ellen DeGeneres talked about her distinctive personality with the Harper's Bazaar for the September issue of the magazine.

The 57 year old talk show host shares about the things that many people might not expect from her, including her off screen characteristics.  

DeGeneres told the mag, "I think what's unexpected about me is that when I'm not working, I'm pretty quiet."

Despite her busy schedule, DeGeneres finds some time to do the things she likes, "I like to hike, play tennis, I play golf sometimes. I like to hang out with my animals and my friends."

Although she does outdoor activities sometimes, DeGeneres admitted she doesn't have any particular hobby for the time being, but she is considering tennis any time soon.  

She explained, "I don't really have a hobby, but I'm thinking about starting to make picture frames out of macaroni.... No, I'm kidding. I need to find a hobby, though. I'm going to get serious about tennis. I love it, but I've never taken lessons."

And when asked who she thinks are the funniest people in the comedy industry, DeGeneres said, "I think people like Melissa McCarthy, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are funny."

"They're all self-deprecating, they're strong and funny and smart and they're each unique. They're not trying to be somebody else," she added.

Meanwhile, 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' host since 2003 is reportedly preparing for a revamp.

DeGeneres is reportedly threatened by the rumored come back of Oprah Winfrey and wants to give herself, including her show a total makeover, according to Radar Online.

A source told the media outlet, "Ellen has been discussing this with her team for a while. She's at the top of her game and knows the only way is down and she does not want to be caught napping at the wheel."

"She wants to revamp herself from head to toe as well," the insider added.
