Canadian-French singer and songwriter Avril Lavigne just ignored current breakup rumors surrounding her and husband Chad Kroeger, as she is set to help the less fortunate children who will attend a summer camp.
Even when Avril Lavigne was in the middle of conquering her disease, the singer was rumored to be getting a divorce from the Nickleback singer. Many are speculating that their marriage is on the rocks as both have not been seen wearing their wedding rings.
The musical couple also do not post photos of or with each other on their social media accounts.
Avril Lavigne is currently getting ready to attend the third year of Camp S.T.A.R.S., which is a project by the Avril Lavigne Foundation and Easter Seals. The objective of the foundation is to help low-income children with disabilities.
Camp S.T.A.R.S. was founded in 2012. The idea came from Avril herself, after she visited the Easter Seals Summer Camp in various parts of the United States and Canada.
Avril Lavigne stated, "Since starting this program, we've helped more than 100 children and young adults to attend summer camp to make lifelong friends, have fun and learn new skills."
"I created the Avril Lavigne Foundation to help people find joy and acceptance no matter what their circumstances, so I'm proud to support this program with Easter Seals again this year," she added.
The "Complicated" singer has been battling Lyme disease for quite a while now, and it has even made her bed-ridden last year.
In a recent interview, she talked about how she changed from being desperate to being joyful in life, despite the presence of the autoimmune disease.
Besides her taking part in the healing process of kids with disabilities, the 'Sk8er Boi' hit maker will also return to the music scene.
Avril Lavigne performed her new song "Fly" during the Special Olympics World Games this year and will also be part of the upcoming Disney animated musical film, "Charming."
