'Mr. Robot' Star Rami Malek Talks About Working With Christian Slater And What To Expect In Season 2!

The surprise hit series 'Mr. Robot' has just wrapped up, but people still can't stop talking about it. The cyber-thriller TV show featuring Rami Malek as a brilliant computer whiz and Christian Slater as his anarchist recruiter has just been renewed for a second season, so it looks like Elliot might have another chance at saving the world.

Rami Malek recently spoke with EW about his friendship with his costar Christian Slater, which he admits started out when they were stuck on a ferris wheel together.

"The first time that we shot a scene together was on the ferris wheel in Coney Island," Malek said. "There was something nice in between takes, just sitting on the ferris wheel talking. We got to know each other. It was just a candid, enjoyable time together. I got to know him more personally, than as an actor, right off the bat. I think that's why we've become so close."

The young actor also confirmed that showrunner Sam Esmail doesn't give them all the details about the show, but he doesn't mind at all.

"I'm not as aware as sometimes I'd like to be," Malek said. "There's something really great about being caught off-guard every week and not knowing the exact trajectory of my character. The other thing that keeps me from falling off of the edge is knowing that Sam has woven this story that intersects in a way that is finite. You can already start to see that play out as storylines cross over one another."

Speaking of falling, Rami Malek shares that there was one plot twist that surprised him more than anything else in 'Mr. Robot.'

"Getting pushing off the pier," he said. "I didn't see that one coming either. I actually questioned that moment for a while and if that was necessary. I think that was something Christian questioned as well, but I've come to realize that Sam's intentions are always very clear and have a long-term impact. Everything happens for a reason."

Watch out for Rami Malek as Elliot when the tenth episode of 'Mr. Robot' airs on August 26.
