This summer was all about work for Julianne Hough but she managed to find some time for her love life, too. The 'Dancing With The Stars' judge and her boyfriend, Brooks Laich have kept their relationship so strong and it even lead him to pop the question.
On Tuesday, the 27-year-old 'Dancing With The Stars' judge announced the news with a photo of herself flashing her left hand as she embraced her 32-year-old beau.
"We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiance #love," Julianne captioned the picture, where the professional dancer is wrapped around her NHL star fiance with her hand extended in a happy wave as she admires her engagement ring.
This will be the first marriage for both Hough and her hockey player fiance.
The sister of DWTS pro Derek Hough and the Washington Capitals player were set up by a mutual friend.
They first went public with their relationship in Feb. 2014, although they reportedly got together two months before that. Julianne last dated E! producer and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest for three years. He is now seeing Hilary Cruz.
This fall, Julianne is set to spend another season behind the judge’s table on DWTS, and with the hockey season picking back up, it’s going to be a very busy year for the duo.
Last year, Hough told Redbook how she knew Laich was the one. "Every relationship, there was nothing wrong or bad, but there was nothing right. I had one foot out because I didn't want to get hurt," she said.
"And I didn't say what was on my mind because I didn't want to ruffle any feathers. I needed to be perfect. Now I'm not holding anything back because I'd rather get my heart broken than never know what it is to be completely, madly in love."
Julianne Hough is an American dancer, singer and actress who has a net worth of $7 million dollars according to Celebrity Net Worth.
