Samsung Releases Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung S6 Edge Plus

Samsung has revealed its two new super-sized Android powered smartphones called Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung S6 Edge Plus. The new high-end devices of the multinational tech company will be available in the US and Canada starting this August 21.

Samsung released the said products before Apple unveiled its new iPhone as a part of the company's strategy. The smartphone maker attempts to be on the top and regain their lost sales after Apple launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Pus.

The new smartphones of the Korean-based company both feature huge 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screens which make the new models noticeably larger compared to any other mobile phones in the market.

Samsung S6 Edge Plus comes with a 16 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. It has a pixel density of 534 PPI powered by a 2.1 GHz Octa-core CPU. Its battery capacity is increased to 3,000 mAh and the RAM is improved to 4 GB. The cost of the new S6 Edge Plus is also expected to increase by $75.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 5 features an upgraded "S Pen" stylus which will allow users to make notes on the device even while the screen is off. The Note 5 is also powered by an octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 3,000 mAh battery capacity. The device will cost at around $696 to 740$, depending on the carrier.

Both phones come with improved power and performance. However, the ability to replace and remove the battery is omitted. It is also notable that the internal storage of the devices are locked. This means that the users cannot add Micro SD cards into the smartphones.

Aside from their two new devices, Samsung also announced the first launching of their own mobile payment system, called Samsung Pay. Using Samsung Pay, users can now pay their bills with the use of their smartphones. This payment system is similar to the existing Apple Pay and Android Pay.
