CW's TV hit series Arrow recently included Elysia Rotaru in the show to play the role of Oliver's (played by Stephen Amell) new love interest.
Entertainment Weekly reported that although Rotaru is going to be Oliver's new love interest, fans shouldn't freak out just yet because their hero is still in a relationship with Felicity (played by Emily Bett Rickards). Basically, Rotaru's role is related to Oliver's past. Most of her appearances would be in flashbacks. The producers of the show didn't further elaborate her entire character, as they still want fans to be surprised when it finally comes out.
The executive producer of the show, Marc Guggenheim, confirmed that Oliver would have a new interest in the past. The said love interest might have a conflict to his current relationship with Felicity and it is definitely something to watch for.
Guggenheim added that they a huge surprise coming for the season premiere, as they open it with flashbacks. He continued with, "We pick up basically in real time. It's been a number of months later since the last flashback. Oliver is in Coast City, as eagle-eyed viewers noted when he boarded the boat at the end of season 3."
Den Of Geek also blurted out some epic spoilers from the show a few more characters were cast for this upcoming new season. Thea Queen (played by Willa Holland) will also have a new love interest and Parker Young will be playing the role of Alex Davis whose character serves as Oliver's political consultant.
And not but not the least, fans of Rutina Wesley from True Blood will be seeing her again, but this time on this superhero series. Her character is not yet disclosed so that's something to also watch for.
