Amal Clooney Rumored to Host 'Celebrity Apprentice’

NBC fired Donald Trump from 'Celebrity Apprentice' after he made that disparaging remark about Mexican immigrants.  They have been looking around for a replacement, and Amal Clooney, best known as the wife of the elusive George Clooney, and as a human rights lawyer, is part of the short list of candidates.

Others in the short list are Jessica Alba, actress and entrepreneur and Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg.  While the Donald is the most popular and longest host of 'The Apprentice' and 'Celebrity Apprentice',  Martha Steward also hosted the non-celebrity edition for one season in 2005.

'The Celebrity Apprentice' is an American reality TV game show, which was a variation of 'The Apprentice'.  In the celebrity version, famous persons, from past or present, play to win money for their chosen charity.  It gathers famous names from entertainment, sports and other media.  The very first winner was British tabloid editor, Piers Morgan.  Mark Burnett and Donald Trump are the show's producers.

Amal seems a good choice given her background, and her mystery as being the one that got George Clooney to the altar.  Celebrity Yahoo reports that 'they are apparently looking for a woman that the public respects.'

It seems that the lawyer is keen on trying out this new career path.  The show is filmed in New York, where the married couple are now staying with Amal temporarily teaching at the Columbia University.

Mr. Clooney is said to be supporting this possible career choice of the Missus.

The couple are set to celebrate their first wedding anniversary next month.  They have been busy with their trans-Atlantic life.  They bought a piece of property in London, and are busy renovating it.  There are already rumors of starting a family, but it just might depend on the next few months or years of Mrs. Clooney.
