You Wouldn’t Think These Christian Louboutin Lipsticks Are Actually Lipsticks [PHOTOS]

Christian Louboutin is more famous for his signature red-soled shoes. However, the French footwear designer seems to be slowly making a foray into the beauty industry.

It was in 2012 when Christian Louboutin first launched his range of nail polishes called "Christian Louboutin Beauté."

He even expanded the "Christian Louboutin Beauté" collection earlier this year, when he released an Eygptian insect-inspired line called "Scarabée."

This time around, Christian Louboutin recently released his newest range of lipsticks, called "Louboutin Lipstick." The line boasts of 38 different lipstick shades, in addition to various tube designs.

Three different lipstick textures can also be found in this collection: 20 shades in Silky Satin, nine shades of Sheer Voile and another nine shades of Velvet Matte.

It seems as though Louboutin was able to get a lot of inspiration from Eygpt, since Queen Nefertiti inspired the 38-piece Louboutin Lipstick collection.

"All the eyes, lips represent the most expressive element of the face. And there's a fetish appeal, because lipstick can transform a face from intense to naïve or even dangerous," said Christian Louboutin in a press release via Essence.

Christian Louboutin's attention to detail is simply impeccable. These lipstick tubes aren't just pretty, but they can even be used as necklace pendants with the help of a gold chain.

In true Christian Louboutin nature, these gorgeous pendant-looking lipstick bullets definitely don't come cheap. But with a $90 price tag, the lipstick splurge seems to be well worth it.

The Christian Louboutin Lipstick collection will hit Saks stores on September.
