Next year, Benedict Cumberbatch's Marvel Cinematic Universe character will be revealed right after the superhero conflict in "Captain America: Civil War," and as it heads into the production phase, further details about the "Doctor Strange" movie are revealed - including more details about the film's art, which are supposed to be spectacular.

There was a minor tease to what the "Doctor Strange" movie will be about in this summer's "Ant-Man," when Paul Rudd's character delved into the quantum realm for a while to save the world - and it seems like because of the story's heavy dependence on other dimensions, the film will have a visually stunning component that has caused its art director to call it "Marvel's 'Fantasia.'"

According to Coming Soon, the "Doctor Strange" movie is only weeks away from beginning production, and that means the people behind it are finally starting to spill the beans about what fans can expect from the Cumberbatch-led movie.

Speaking to Screen Daily, Ben Davis, the director of photography for the "Doctor Strange" movie (who was also behind the lenses for "Guardians of the Galaxy" and this year's "Avengers: Age of Ultron") talked about the influences for the upcoming film's look, and they include images of artist M.C. Escher and its explorations of the concept of infinity.

"Most of the work within it is about other dimensions. And I described it, I think, when I was talking to Marvel as Marvel's Fantasia, in a way, because it's so sort of out there and different to everything else that they've done," Davis told the press.

According to Blastr, this is in keeping with previous reports of the "Doctor Strange" movie, after Disney's African division revealed earlier this week that Cumberbatch's look will be very "dark" and will actually look "fetching" in his costume.
