Fans of the hit TV series Breaking Bad would be glad to know that one of its actors doesn't just work in the entertainment industry, but is even trying to do public service. Rolling Stone reported that one of the actors from the hit series Steven Michael Quesada known as DEA agent Steven Gomez is running for a political position in New Mexico.
The Associated Press also confirmed the said announcement made by the actor/comedian who is also a part of the Albuquerque school board. He will be running along with three other people for the position.
Quesada told AP during an interview with them that he wants to bring some positive changes in his district, which involves the Hispanic South Valley. That area actually was on the news for an approved planned community by the Bernalillo County Commission even when critics are saying that developing the area could remove water away from other houses in the district.
The Breaking Bad actor is known to be outspoken and recently, he gathered some of the people in his district to talk about fighting crimes in their area. NBC New York said that this gathering took place to tackle the pressure in reforming the state's justice system.
After his stint from Breaking Bad, Quesada didn't stop working. He is also doing some hosting in his local area and it is a late-night show called The After After Party. He had some famous guests on the show including the star of Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston who even had his head shaved during his guesting. Vince Gilligan who is the creator of Breaking Bad also appeared on his show that he even announced a spinoff of the series, which is called Better Call Saul. Hopefully, Quesada brings the same energy when he wins his position as a commissioner in his district.
