Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Divorce: Country Superstars Call it Quits [PHOTOS]

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have finalized their divorce just hours after the country couple announced their split on Monday.

Their divorce has reportedly been in the works for quite a while, and it was fully settled on July 20. The country music stars, who are now legally single again, married in 2011.

Blake and Miranda have ended their 4-year marriage, and they already filed divorce documents, TMZ reports. The divorce was filed by Blake in Oklahoma.

Financial arrangements have already been settled since the couple had a prenuptial agreement. Blake will get the ranch in Oklahoma, and Miranda will get the family home in Nashville. Miranda has been moving her show animals off the ranch over the last few days.

Since they wed four years ago, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have battled persistent rumors of trouble in their marriage.

The couple exchanged vows in Lambert's native Texas in May 2011 after dating for six years. They first met in 2005 when they collaborated on a Country Music Television show.

Back in October 2014, Blake slammed reports that he and Miranda were divorcing. However, Miranda surprisingly didn’t mention Blake during any of her acceptance speeches for her Country Music Awards wins, and fans became concerned.

The country stars also took to social media to defend their marriage back in March 2013 after Blake Shelton was linked to another singer. "I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart!!!" he Tweeted. Miranda Lambert responded: "Oh no! Can't wait to read if we make it or not."

Unfortunately, they didn't make it this time.

"Their busy schedules were a big issue for them. They both worked a lot and had to spend a lot of time apart. The less time they spent together, the more they grew apart," a source of E! News explains.

"Trust was an issue for both of them. It went along with having to spend a lot of time apart." the source added. "Rumors of infidelity put stress on them. Despite denials, even just rumors of cheating are still hard to hear."

The couple released a joint statement: “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
