Former Olympic medalist Bruce Jenner, came out recently as a transgender woman now known as Caitlyn Jenner and with her transition, the ESPY decided to give Jenner the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. But not everybody thinks she deserves it including Jessica Steindorff who was involved on a traffic accident with Jenner.
It was on Wednesday that Caitlyn Jenner finally received the Arthur Ashe award and was even able to come up on stage to do her speech. Some have really seen her coming out as a transgender this year to be a brave thing to do, while others are questioning it. The Washing Post reported that Steindorff is one of them who thinks she is not worthy to receive that award since she just recently got herself in a car accident that even took another woman's life in Malibu, California last February.
Steindorff is pressing charges against Jenner for what happened. The stepchildren of Kim Howe, the woman who succumbed to the incident are also suing her. Entertainment Tonight interviewed Steindorff and this is what she said about Jenner, "I find it difficult to understand how the culture we live in can honor a person who is responsible for taking a life and injuring several others with both an award and a reality show."
She added that Caitlyn has failed to do something right on the situation and she didn't even take responsibility on thewhole incident.
Steindorff hopes that she could've at least lived up to her stand on giving value to another person's existence since that is something that she is fighting for when she transitioned. But then again, she woke up to a reality that America is living in a tabloid society.
Police are still investigating on the said accident however, TMZ reported that Caitlyn is looking like she will get away from her charges.
