On Monday, news broke out about rapper 50 Cent filing for a chapter 11 bankruptcy. Now, he's speaking up about it in an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the press junket for his upcoming film, "Southpaw."
"I'm not panicking. People love tragedy more than they love good news, no matter how you look at it," 50 Cent told Kevin Frazier. "The news comes on, and it's 90 percent tragedy," he added.
The 40-year-old rapper also stated, "I have faith in the court systems. I know at points you gotta just relax and go through the process."
But unlike most people in his situation, 50 Cent isn't alarmed at all: "I make decisions to do things based on the position that I'm placed in at points and if I'm consistently being made out to be a target because of my financial situation [...]"

He continued, "If [people] actually believe that I wouldn't be conscious of who I am and protecting myself [...]"
He even joked about his situation on his Instagram account. Posting a snap of himself standing in front of a compact car, he captioned the photo: "Times are hard out here LMAO #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO."
The "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" artist also talked to E! News. 50 Cent even explained his bankruptcy filing with examples of other businessmen who went through the same thing.
"Walt Disney has filed bankruptcy. Donald Trump has filed bankruptcy. It means you're reorganizing your finances, but it does stop things from moving forward that you don't want moving forward." 50 Cent explained.
He even reassures everyone that there should be no worries at all. "I gotta decent legal team. You don't have to worry," he said.
Curtis James Jackson III reported in his bankruptcy filing that both his assets and debts amount to $10 to $50 million.
