Duff Beer 2015: ‘Simpsons’ Fans Prepare, Homer Simpson’s ‘Premium Lager’ Reaching Stores!

For die-hard fans of the show that put Springfield in the map, getting a taste of Duff beer on 2015, after having watched yellow patriarch Homer Simpson drinking it at Moe's Tavern for more than 20 years - and now, after over two decades, the dream will be feasible!

After numerous copycat versions of the fictional brew have made it to markets all over the world, "Simpsons" producers have now officially announced the creation of an official Duff beer 2015 - though, for now, the drink described as a "special lager" will only be available in one South American country, Chile.

According to Rolling Stone Magazine, 21st Century Fox's move to create a Duff beer 2015 stems from years of copyright fights, as a number of copycat beers with the same name (and based on the show's likeness) have been launched throughout Europe, South America and Mexico, giving the producing company some big trouble when it comes to defending their copyright.

It seems like the idea to begin with Chile is no coincidence, as Fox has had a particularly tough time halting copycat versions in the country after having seized thousands of bottles - not an easy challenge considering technically the beer has been officially nonexistent until now, making copyright battle harder for Fox.

The Wall Street Journal reports that this ongoing situation prompted Fox execs to make a move towards the brewing industry with the Duff beer 2015, with Chile opening the market with plans to expand further in South America as well as Europe by early 2016.

According to Metro, the Duff beer 2015's package will be "subtle" while the flavor will be fruity, as the brewing trend expands further in the world - other major brands that have released their own craft beers have been metal bald Iron Maiden as well as the recent launch of Bohemian Lager, a brew made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic Queen song.

It's still unclear whether the Duff beer 2015 will be reaching the U.S.
