‘Firefly’ 2015: Nathan Fillion And Alan Tudyk’s META ‘Con Man’ Trailer At Comic-Con – Homage To Joss Whedon’s Browncoats! [PHOTO+VIDEO]

Long before Joss Whedon was the big shot director of the two first "Avengers" movies, he created a show called "Firefly" that was famously canceled long before its time, lasting less than a full season, although getting a not-too-successful film sequel, "Serenity" - now, ten years later, "Firefly" 2015 makes a comeback!

It's been a long time since the original show aired from 2002 to 2003, and the story behind "Firefly" 2015 is currently being continued in comic book form - but that hasn't stopped two of its main stars, Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk, from creating a show exactly about their experience though not at all about it.

A few months back, Food World News reported on the "Con Man" project, an Indiegogo "Firefly" 2015 campaign launched by the two actors to create a comedy based on a fictionalized account of their time playing Captain Malcolm Reynolds and Hoban Washburne in the Whedonverse - with Tudyk playing a has-been and Fillion playing a highly successful actor.

Now, a few months after the successful campaign, the first "Firefly" 2015 spoof show makes it appearance at, where else, San Diego Comic-Con, as Polygon reports, with its two stars showing off the first trailer, full of major stars, to expectant audiences and a crowd full of Browncoats (namely, fans of the original show).

According to CNET, the "Firefly" 2015 spoof is about as meta as it gets, with the show telling the story of how actor Wray Nerely (Tudyk) deals with the vastly complex world of conventions, while his former co-star Jack Moore (Fillion) gets every bit of success.

The Independent reports that the series' trailer is full of stars, including some "Firefly" cast mates like Gina Torres, Jewel Staite and Summer Glau, besides other convention-familiar stars like "Lord of the Rings" Sam, Sean Astin, Wil Wheaton, Seth Green and even Whedon himself.
