Bruce Jenner’s Olympic Torch up for Auction

The Olympic torch that Bruce Jenner carried in the 1984 Summer Olympics is expected to fetch $ 20,000.

The Olympic torch is owned by Bob Lorsch, who organized the 1984 Summer Olympic torch relay.  Bruce Jenner ran part of the leg, at Lake Tahoe in Nevada.  Time reports that it is now being offered for auction by Heritage Auctions in Chicago on July 30 during their Platinum Sports Auction.

Jenner was a gold medalist in decathlon during the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.  In 1984, he was the favorite Olympian, which explained his participation in the games that was hosted by Los Angeles.

Bruce Jenner remained as Bruce Jenner up to April this year.  He separated from his wife of 23 years, Kris Kardashian, with whom he has two beautiful daughters, Kendall and Kylie .  Soon after, at the age of 65,  he came out with his confession of being a woman deep inside.  That started his transformation to a transwoman who is now famously known as Caitlyn Jenner

As Caitlyn, she plays it up with the paparazzi wearing her favorite designer dresses, like Max Azria, and appearing in events mobbed by the fashion and entertainment industry.  In her coming out, she made famous the words, "for all intents and purposes, I am a woman."

Before the fame of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," , Bruce tried the movies in the 1980's with the Village People comedy, "Can't Stop the Music".  Bruce was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor.  He had better success as an actor for television, and appeared in the series  "CHiPs" and " Silver Spoons."  But for sure, he is now basking in the spotlight in his newfound role as a woman.

More recently, Caitlin Jenner launched her blog, "Journey Begins", which she claims shall be her voice in behalf of her newfound community.
