Hollywood veteran musician and singer Billy Joel got married on the 4th of July to her girlfriend now wife, Alexis Roderick in Long Island, New York. The wedding was officiated by Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York.
It is the singer's fourth wife and everybody is hoping this is his last marriage. His ex-wife Christie Brinkley was not even bitter about it that she even greeted the newly weds on her Instagram. If you would all remember, Brinkley is the woman back in the music video "Uptown Girls."
Brinkley posted on her Instagram account with Joel and his new wife Roderick looking all glowing on their wedding day with a caption that says, "Congratulations to the glowing bride and groom.. And to my daughter Alexa, who has a wonderful friend in Alexis! Wishing the growing family every happiness!"
Joel and his new wife have been going out for 6 years until they finally decided to tie the knot. They are also expecting a new baby to come out this summer. Going back to their wedding, it was an event that was unexpected. It was just intended to both of their immediate family and close friends.
The couple exchanged their vows in Joel's mansion locate at Centre Island in Oyster Bay as per New York Daily News' report. Alexa Ray who is now 29 years old and the daughter of the singer to ex-wife Brinkley also attended the wedding along with their family friend and actor, Kevin James. The two's love story started when they first met eye to eye at a restaurant in Huntington in New York.
Governor Cuomo has also been friends with the singer from way back even before to help him promote his music and concerts. He also officiates at gay wedding ceremonies.
