David and Victoria Beckham celebrated their 16th anniversary sending sweet messages to each other on Instagram on Saturday.
People Magazine reported that the couple who tied the knot in July 4, 1999 at the Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland, thanked each other for their "beautiful family" on each of their Instagram posts on their very special day.
The 41-year-old fashion icon posted a sleek photo of David and her sons in tuxedos, 16-year-old Brooklyn, 12-year-old Romeo, and 10-year-old Cruz, and their youngest daughter, Harper, in a pretty lavender princess dress.
"Happy anniversary, I love u so much x I'm so proud of our beautiful family x," Victoria wrote.
The 40-year-old soccer superstar then shared a romantic black and white photo of him and his wife. "16 years ago today was our special day... 16 years on we have our beautiful children... Thank you for giving me our amazing little ones .... Happy anniversary," David posted.
The sports heartthrob met the former Spice Girl in a Manchester United game through their common celebrity friend, Simon Fuller. "[Fuller] invited me actually to the football match with him and he introduced me and David after the game," Posh Spice previously told US Weekly. "You know what I really liked about David after that? When all the other players [were] in the lounge afterwards having a drink with their friends, David is sitting with his mum and dad and his younger sister and I really liked that."
"I'm really close with my family, he's really close with his," the mother of four kids went on. "I believe in love at first sight. I really do. It was great, really great."
"He's this incredible husband and wonderful father. I mean he is so good with the children. He really is," she added.
David and Victoria's eldest son, Brooklyn, who was the ring bearer at 4-months during his parents' wedding, also posted a throwback photo of their happy family 16 years ago.
