Marc Jacobs Instagram Selfie Explained: Fashion Designer Inappropriate Over Flirting!

If you're a big fan of fashion and follow some of the biggest designers in the world on social media, you may have noticed that Marc Jacobs' Instagram page showed much more than it should have earlier this week, when he posted a selfie where he wasn't really wearing much of anything - and now he has finally stepped forward about why that happened!

Last June 30, Marc Jacobs' Instagram flaunted a fairly inappropriate photograph of himself with no clothes on posing in front of a mirror, quickly taking it off, though not before it went viral - but he has now clarified that he never meant for the picture to become public, as he had attempted to direct message someone.

According to Us Weekly, the explanation came through Marc Jacobs' Instagram as well, when a follower asked what exactly had gone down and the designer was casual about his response, saying he had exposed his bare behind unwillingly.

"Yeah. I accidentally posted a pic of my bare a** and took it down," went Marc Jacobs' Instagram response, Hollywood Life reports. "I was flirting with someone I met on Instagram. Meant to send it by DM. Oops, my mistake. I apologize to anyone it offended. I'm a gay man. I flirt and chat with guys online sometimes. BIG DEAL!"

News outlets such as Paper Magazine have applauded the light approach the fashion designer has taken on the subject of the accidental post on Marc Jacobs' Instagram, owning up to his own mistake not long after it happened - similar to last year's strong response to the celebrity leak scandal that saw Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence standing up to her own right to send private pictures of herself to her partner at the time.

In any case, in the past other celebrities have attempted to fight back at Instagram over its n*dity policies, including Chelsea Handler - but Marc Jacobs' Instagram snap was just an honest mistake!
