Showtime's "Nurse Jackie" has finally come to an end and it was a huge cliffhanger for the viewers. Fans can't really tell if she died or if she made it.
According to TV critics, the ending wasn't bad and a lot would say it was a good series. After seven seasons, Nurse Jackie star Edi Falco received an Emmy for playing her character Jackie Peyton so well. For those who has not seen how it ended, well based on the final frames of the series, it was looking like she died. It was an overdose that caused her possible death. But then again, she was still sort of moving her eyes, as she was lying on the floor. It was like The Sopranos all over again, leaving fans wondering if Tony also died. The writers did a good job for making their audience think and forming their own conclusion. It would be really up to the viewers to come up with their own fated version of Jackie's life.
News Day would like to think her character died because it's something that must happen anyway after that overdose. It is a tragic death and it is inevitable to happen to people who abused illegal drugs. At least this should be the message to create more awareness to the masses on what could happen to them should they follow Jackie's footsteps.
Time's review was almost the same and they pointed out that the series taught clinics about antiheroism. It was an interesting observation. Perhaps her motive was right, but then again her solutions went so wrong. It would be hard to save people if the hero needs saving themselves. Jackie's death on the story created an impact in the whole series. And as mentioned earlier, it was tragic but it had to happen.
Edi Falco is an Emmy award winning actress for the show and her net worth is $40 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.
