'Star Trek 3' Director Justin Lin Reveals Title, Promises New Aliens In The Movie

Justin Lin just currently revealed on his Instagram account the title of the upcoming J.J. Abrams produced third Star Trek franchise.

Screenwriter/ cast member Simon Pegg unofficially confirmed the title before, but now Lin breaks the news of the latest installment through social media.

He posted a patch worn by the Enterprise crew that reads 'Starfleet' then he captioned his post, "Let the next Starfleet voyage begin!," then added a hashtags "#StarTrekBeyond" and, of course, "#LLAP."

Then later, Paramount posted on Facebook, "JUST ANNOUNCED #StarTrekBeyond."

While 'Star Trek' fans are getting excited of the latest twist of the latest Sci fi movie and very anxious to see who are the latest characters in the latest film. According to officials, Paramount thinks that the film needs a genre-shift. So, the writing team and Lin are focusing on the shift.

The Fast & Furious 6 director Lin told the Deadline, "It's all new and fresh. The Klingons, Romulans and other species are great, but it's time to go further." He added, "It has been fun to focus on creating whole new worlds and species."

With Justin Lin promises new aliens in the movie, Sofia Boutella of Kingsmen confirmed that she will appear in the movie, but her role has not been released yet, whether she's a friend or a foe. Idris Elba will also be appearing in the film, as a badass, original villain, for it was promised to him that his character is not a reboot.

With Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto who both just currently signed in for Star Trek 4, which means that this is not the end of the series.

Star Trek 3, will be hitting theaters on July 8, 2016.
