Not even two weeks after confirming his breakup with Olivia Culpo, Nick Jonas breaks his silence to talk about the recent heartbreaking event with Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm doing OK. It's very tough and we had a beautiful two years together and [I have] nothing but love and respect for her," Nick said.

"But it's always hard an my thing now is focusing on my work and staying as busy as I can, as I creative as I can be. These are the times you've just got to dive in and get lost in your work and that's what I'm trying to do," Jonas continued.

The former relationship was always under the spotlight, and the public breakup makes the situation a whole lot harder for the two. In the past, Nick Jonas has admitted to writing his hit song "Jealous" about Olivia Culpo.

But the Jonas brother admits that he also have some regrets. "I have regrets about not being open with relationships in the past. That's the thing that makes it actually more challenging," Jonas cited.

He continued to speak, "On many levels you try to hide the relationship or do things to make it more private but that just adds more stress on the relationship. Whereas this relationship I was in was open and public and there's a lot of comfort in that and support."

"So yeah, I think it's the opposite actually. But it's this part of it that makes it all harder afterwards," the "Chains" singer added.

As for his older brother Joe Jonas' current relationship with 20-year-old model Gigi Hadid, Nick says he has yet to give any advice to the 25-year-old regarding relationships under the spotlight.

"Their relationship is their own thing. I'm happy to see my brother happy, it's a great thing. You love seeing your family happy. She's a great girl, and I love spending time with them together, but as far as the details of their relationship, that's on them," Nick revealed.

It's great to see that while breakups may seem difficult, Nick Jonas continues to prioritize his career while Olivia Culpo seems to stay on the optimistic side of life.
