Marilyn Manson, who is known as a bizarre performer that would cut himself on stage insists that he is not suicidal and that he would not take his own life.
The rocker Manson made it clear that everything has been just an expression and he considers it an "art" as he spoke on Tuesday at the Cannes Lions advertising festival. He said, "You might mistake a song for being suicidal, but that's a state of thought. It's the whole point of art. Rather than doing something you just express it."
He also added, if the fans read the news that he commited suicide, it's a "lie." "Because if I was going to do that I would take everyone with me," he added.
While sharing his wisdom as an artist at Cannes with the ad and tech elite, he then arrived to the conclusion, "America needs someone like me to make it not suck as much as it could."
The "Sweet Dream' hit maker, admitted at the Grey Music Seminar with Grey Group's Tor Myhren, that he still gets excited performing live, especially when he sees the reaction from the crowd "It's like being a theater performer, it's something you can't get from being a writer or being an ad man ... its almost ritualistic." Then he added, "I don't like being a celebrity."
It was this month when the rocker made a gruesome performance on stage. After Manson dedicated his song 'Disposable Teens' to Paris Jackson- a 15 year old "troubled" kid that made a suicide attempt, as he is dressed in a demonic costume, as he points a meat cleaver to his arm then played a simulation act in front of the crowd. The disturbing act gained criticism.
The rocker first cut himself when he was in the ninth grade. Now, he is known as a performer who would cut himself on stage, inflicting self-injury.
