Chicago hiphop artist Vic Mensa dropped the music video for his single "U Mad" and it features rapper Kanye West.
The 4-minute video starts off with Mensa singing half-naked in a room with dimmed red and white flashing lights and a dancing crowd. He then appears wearing a black straitjacket in a room filled with men in protective suits.
Kanye appears halfway in the video and raps with Mensa, until policemen in riot gear tries to break up the party by tossing tear gas to their group.
Steve McQueen was originally enlisted to direct the video, but Grant Singer ended up taking over. Kanye also added his own touch to the video, which ended up looking similar to "All Day," which debuted last February.
"U Mad" was first heard in April, after the audience at Kanye's London show in March got a sneak preview. This is the second single off of the 21-year old rapper's album "Traffic," after releasing "Down on My Luck" in 2014.
This is also Kanye's second collaboration for this year, after dropping "Wolves," which he debuted as part of the launch of Yeezy 750 Boots, the product of his partnership with shoe brand Adidas.
The track has been getting positive responses on social media, particularly after Mensa posted the video on Twitter.
"Traffic" is slated to be released later this year under Roc Nation. He was signed by the record label on April 21, through a video announcement which also showed Jay Z signing a contract as well.
Mensa also bonded with his fans on Tumblr through a special Q&A, where he got questions about his new album. The rapper revealed that the next track will be titled "Rage," a song which he says Beyonce loves.
