Hollywood actor and director Clint Eastwood spilled out some joke about Caitlyn Jenner's coming out during the pre-taped ceremony of the Spike TV's Guys' Choice 2015 Awards, which the TV network decided not to air for the public to see on the later part of this month.
According to People, Eastwood was making an introduction referring to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's transition from being an athlete to actor acknowledging his work on his recent movie "San Andreas." He made a comparison between The Rock's career and achievements to "Jim Brown and Caitlyn Somebody." It was due to the fact that Bruce Jenner too was known as an athlete that even bagged gold during the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics.
Spike TV called the show "unpredictable" when they were asked by the press about it. RTE quoted the network's Senior Vice President of Communication, Davd Schwartz saying, "We will remove the reference in the version that will air."
Bruce Jenner who is now known as Caitlyn Jenner, came out as a woman on Vanity Fair's cover last week and it made a huge noise all over the Internet. Variety reported that his recent transition also caught the production minds of the network E! as they feature the former athlete to another documentary series called "I Am Cait."
Eastwood's joke also didn't get away from TMZ to make a buzz about it that they even posted a poll, asking its page visitors if the actor's joke about Caitly Jenner "went too far" or was just "innocent fun." TV executives already voiced out their opinion and it was pretty clear that they think he has croosed the line, since they decided to cut that part off when they air it on June 18. The show will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard of the hit TV series "Empire."
