Harry Styles Facts: Not Leaving One Direction To Go Solo, Opens Up About New Album and Tour Updates

One Direction's Harry Styles has been rumored to step out from the group to go solo after the now four-piece band brushed off speculations about taking a break next year.

According to reports, the British boyband will not go on hiatus. In fact, they will be finishing their 'On The Road Again Tour' and releasing their fifth album this year as well.

However, no matter how busy the boys may seem, rumors about one of them going solo has continued to persist, even before Zayn Malik left the band in March. Harry Styles was always speculated to become a solo artist first before the other four boys.

One source allegedly said, "It was always the plan that he would launch a solo career first but then Zayn decided to quit." Even Lance Bass, former *NSYNC member claimed that the 21-year-old  "has been ready to go solo for many months."

Harry's rep, on the other hand, has cleared issues about him doing a recording solo material, claiming these are all purely speculations and rumors.

In fact, One Direction member Liam Payne has also spoken about the issue, during the Capital Summertime Ball on Sunday.

He said: "We don't know where this has come from because we've got loads of stuff going on. We've just started the process of recording the new album, there's a whole new tour going on and some really good songs."

With regards their upcoming fifth album, One Direction aims to make it a long-lasting record like Ed Sheeran's.

Payne said that, "The songs have been coming out a bit more chilled. We want this to be quite a long-lasting album that you can listen to anytime, like Ed's album."

One Direction fans are at least glad that their favorite band is not taking a rest. And it looks like the band is out to prove to the public that they are indeed on a roll and not going on a break.

On Twitter, One Direction posted a photo of them with a link included to their performance during the Capital Summertime Ball.

"What a rocking weekend! Check out the guys' @Capital official Summertime Ball Performance from start to finish.

Just last weekend, One Direction finished a two-night concert held at Cardiff's Mellenium Stadium, with their supporting act, the six-piece pop punk group McBusted.
