Jodie Sweetin ‘Full House’: Netflix ‘Fuller House’ Doesn’t Include Olsen Twins, Stephanie Tanner Confirms Michelle’s A ‘Presence’

The announcement of "Fuller House" on Netflix, a remake of the beloved 90s family show starring Bob Saget and John Stamos, has become a source of never-ending excitement for nostalgic fans of the original show, and Jodie Sweetin from "Full House" is more than willing to share the deets!

Since it became official that the remake was happening, it was known that the two oldest sisters from the show, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin from "Full House" would be reprising their roles, but it was later confirmed that the Olsen twins, who became famous for playing Michelle Tanner when they were only months old, would not be returning.

According to Us Weekly, Jodie Sweetin from "Full House" recently spoke a little further about the coming Netflix remake, saying shooting would begin in July and, while Mary-Kate and Ashley won't be there for the show, their character Michelle will definitely be a "presence" in the lives of their two older sisters.

As it has been previously reported, the sequel to the original show will feature Bure and Jodie Sweetin from "Full House" going back to their father's old home alongside childhood friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) after oldest sister D.J. becomes a widow.

Basically, it's the same premise as the original show, but gender reversed; and it will feature pretty much every other original cast member besides the Olsen twins, who chose not to be a part of the project due to their fashion designing work.

"The Michelle character is still going to have a presence," said Jodie Sweetin from "Full House" when asked about her youngest TV sister, according to UPI. "It's not like we're not taking about her. I love and support [the Olsen twins], and I think we're going to be just fine."

Other hopeful fans expect that the role will be taken on by Olsen sister Elizabeth, who's starred in films like "Godzilla" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

In any case, fans eagerly await Jodie Sweetin's "Full House" return next year!
