Art Professor Nude Exam to pass a course is being done in the University of California, San Diego. There was no complaint in 11 years, but it's not what happened recently. A furious mother of one of the students in the Art class raised her concerns and aired her voice on how disgusting was the Art Professor Nude Exam.
The students under the Visual Art class are all required to be naked in a candlelit classroom for their final exam. The Art Professor Nude Exam was a requirement and students are not the only one naked, but also Professor Ricardo Dominguez, 55, their instructor for "Visual Arts 104A: Performing the Self."
"There's a perversion going on here. It bothers me. I'm not sending her to school for this," said the distressed mother of one student taking the Visual Arts course. "To blanket say 'you must be naked in order to pass my class' - it makes me sick to my stomach."
According to Daily Mail, the faculty website states that the syllabus of the course involves the students to perform a gesture that speaks about their 'erotic self.' It continues that the "course experiments that explores the rich possibilities available to the contemporary artist in his or her own persona."
However, one student complained of taking the Art Professor Nude Exam and told her mother that she would risk having failing grades than perform what Dominguez demanded for the course. The mother cried that nothing was explained or stipulated contrary to the professor's claims.
When asked about the Art Professor Nude Exam, Dominguez admitted that it was really necessary to pass the finals, 10 News reported. He stated that the goal of the exam is to express "what is more you than you are." Dominguez added he is also naked in the finals with the rest of his 20 students.
The Visual Arts class students were aware of the Art Professor Nude Exam from the very beginning. Dominguez said that if they are not comfortable with it, they shouldn't enroll, Philly Voice added.
Despite the University of California being in scrutiny, Dr. Jordan Crandall, chair of UCSD's Visual Arts Department released a statement Monday in defense of Dominguez and the Art Professor Nude Exam.
Crandall stated that from the start of the Art class, students are made aware of the course requirement. He further added that the Art Professor Nude Exam can be done in varied ways without actually having to remove their clothes. "One can 'be' nude while being covered," Crandall claimed.
