Though the divorce between Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon is seemingly hard from the inside, the former power couple has kept their arrangements private as they fight for the custody of their children and splitting their assets - but it's clear that they both still care quite a lot about each other.

In the past few months, a lot has been said about the Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon divorce, from rumors that the diva was nearing a nervous breakdown up until Cannon officially stated he still cared deeply about Mariah as she had been his wife for years besides the mother of his children.

According to The Daily Mail, although Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have decided to separate, it's pretty clear that Cannon still holds a great deal of love for his wife of six years, and last Sunday he took to Instagram to tribute the "Hero" singer on Mother's Day.

As People Magazine reports, this isn't the first time since Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon split up, even spending joint holidays (such as Mother's Day and Father's Day) together last year, even though they had already been living apart for a while, but they wanted to meet halfway for their young twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

"Gotta represent for the Mother of my children," posted the famous host. "She is such a wonderful, thoughtful, festive, loving and nurturing Soul. I will forever be in debt to you for blessing me and the rest of the world with Roc & Roe."

While rumors fly about how complicated Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's divorce actually is, Cannon has only had nice words to say about Mariah since their split, according to Entertainment Tonight Online - but she does seem to have sent a somewhat passive-aggressive message to him through one of her newest songs, "Infinity," as many thought the lyrics were about her soon to be ex husband.

In any case, it seems like Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon won't be making dramatic headlines anytime soon!
