Although the "Saved by the Bell" actor has kept on working since the time he was in the hit teen show, it's been a long time since he was as big on television as his days as Zack Morris; but now, the network that saw him become a teen star in the 90s has confirmed a new Mark-Paul Gosselaar NBC show!
Following the viral smash on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" celebrating the first Mark-Paul Gosselaar NBC show (which featured original stars like Tiffani Thiessen, though Dustin Diamond and Lisa Turtle missed the reunion), now it's time for the actor's return to television.
TV Guide reports that the network confirmed three new sitcoms for next fall, including a new Mark-Paul Gosselaar NBC series and another one starring "Ugly Betty" actress America Ferrera, so that'll be two actors hailing from beloved big sitcoms!
TV.com reports that the new Mark-Paul Gosselaar NBC sitcom "People Are Talking" will follow two neighbor couples that are also best friends who obsess over every single little detail, from racial tensions to whether a babysitter is actually a porn star - so it sounds like a lot of fun!
The new Mark-Paul Gosselaar NBC show will also star Meaghan Rath, Tone Bell and Bresha Webb, who will be teaming up with heavily experienced TV director Pam Fryman (who up until last year worked on the CBS smash show, "How I Met Your Mother") and producer Will Packer (from "Ride Along").
Gosselaar has mostly worked on television throughout his career, having recently also been a part of "C.S.I." and the TNT show "Franklin & Bash," which was canceled last year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the other new CBS comedies will be "Crowded," with executive producer Sean Hayes, and "Superstore," starring "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" actress Ferrera.
The new Mark-Paul Gosselaar NBC show will premiere next fall.
