Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars Recall- Plastic on Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars? Chocolate maker, Mars Chocolate UK announced Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars recall due to presence of plastic pieces on the chocolate bars.   

In the move to ensure safety, the chocolate manufacturer is recalling all of the products marked with 'best before' end date of 16 August 2015. Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars recall affects all 114 grams bars with batch codes PB21, PB22 and PB23, according to Bitter Wallet.com.

"Mars takes quality and food safety seriously and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to our consumers," Mars Chocolate UK said in a statement.

The Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars recall notice was made by the Food Standards Agency where it says that "No other Mars Chocolate UK products (this includes Galaxy products) are known to be affected."

The Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars recall was made known to all the wholesalers who had been distributed with the product. There had been no reported cases of illness or health issues that have been associated with the product recall.

The FSA reported that Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars recall was part of the company's "precautionary measure" after some bars of had been found to be contaminated with pieces of white plastic.

FSA has warned that if a consumer has purchased the said batch of 114 grams chocolate bar, then they are requested to contact  Mars Chocolate UK at telephone number: 0800 952 0084 or email: recall@uk.mars.com.

Mars Chocolate UK is part of the well known brands in UK including Mars, Snickers, Maltesers, Galaxy, Orbit, Extra, Pedigree, Uncle Ben's, Whiskas, Klix,  Dolmio and Flavia. They are manufacturer of variety of products from confectionery, food, and drinks products to petcare since 1932 according to its website.

Mars Chocolate UK released a Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars recall press release on its website that also warns that anyone who had purchased the said chocolate bar must not consume it and must report it right away to its consumer assistance.

The Galaxy Cookie Crumble Chocolate Bars recall was an isolated case, the company says.
