House Of Cards Season 4 CONFIRMED: 2016 Netflix Gets Frank Underwood Back In Business

Ever since the show's release in 2013, the Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright-led series about power viewed from the eyes of a politician without any scruples has created something of a cult following, and now fans can rest assured that there'll be at least one more year of Frank Underwood as the "House of Cards" season 4 is confirmed.

Before the release of the third reason in bulk earlier this year, the show made so much noise that even Sesame Street chose to parody it through a puppet wolf called Frank Underwoof, creating the most metaphor ever for how the show works - so fans might have to rewatch that over and over again for the next year until the "House of Cards" season 4 comes out.

According to The Independent, streaming giant turned television producer Netflix has now officially confirmed the "House of Cards" season 4, after the last one ended with the main character in the midst of some serious marital problems ... and also going through a presidential campaign.

Variety reports that the "House of Cards" season 4 is set to begin production at some point of this summer, and it'll see the return of Spacey and Wright in their roles of the President and the First Lady of the United States, Frank and Claire Underwood.

The show, possibly the highest profile series on Netflix, also stars Michael Kelly, besides having had Corey Stoll, Rachel Brosnahan and Kate Mara playing major roles in the past as well as getting "Sherlock" third season villain Lars Mikkelsen playing a Vladimir Putin-like Russian president.

There have been no confirmed "House of Cards" season 4 characters yet, though the new season is still early in production.

After the official announcement of the return of the show for 2016 (which was made through the series' Twitter account), Beau Willimon, the showrunner, tweeted that he'd been "secretly writing for months" along with his team.

More Frank Underwood to come during for the 2016 "House of Cards" season 4!
