It's an exciting time to be living in, as many of the items that were made famous by major science fiction landmarks are actually becoming a reality now; just last week, a new product based on the "Star Trek" Tricorder was introduced to the public at Austin's SXSW - a device that could diagnose illnesses.
Now, it's the turn for Boeing to patent force fields from Star Wars, as the major aircraft company takes its own cues from the vast world of George Lucas' galaxy far far away.
