Dolce And Gabbana Gay Adoption On The Spot: Elton John, Victoria Beckham, Martina Navratilova, Courtney Love And Ricky Martin [DETAILS]

Over the last couple of days, Dolce and Gabbana's gay adoption comments have stirred the fashion and entertainment worlds, after the famous haute couture designer duo stated in a recent interview that they didn't agree with gay adoption and processes like in vitro fertilization were unnatural.

Dolce and Gabbana's gay comments have caused a stir for several reasons: not only is the duo actually gay (they were a couple for more than two decades), they're also speaking out for one of the biggest brands in an industry that has traditionally supported the LGBT community.

According to BBC, Dolce and Gabbana's gay adoption comments came to light earlier this week, when Italian news magazine Panorama posted an interview of the famous duo in which they stated that they disapproved of these adoptions, thought in vitro fertilization was unnatural and stated that they only considered a family the one that consists of a mother and a father.

As such, Dolce and Gabbana's gay adoption comments aren't only saying those adoptions are wrong, but other parental paradigms like single parents or widowers shouldn't be considered families either, as they don't adhere to the mother and father paradigm. Not to mention millions of heterosexual couples who have turned to IVF to conceive.

As Business Insider reports, the Dolce and Gabbana gay comments have created a row between the fashion duo and Elton John, one of the biggest gay rights advocates in the world. He's created a new campaign called #BoycottDolceAndGabbana.

According to UK's The Telegraph, other celebrities have given John their full support on the cause against the brand created by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, including retired tennis player Martina Navratilova, troubled star Courtney Love, former pop star and now fashion entrepreneur Victoria Beckham and Puerto Rican pop star Ricky Martin.

For now, Dolce and Gabbana's gay retort to the controversy has seen Stefano Gabbana trying to boycott Elton John through his Twitter account, but he's had little success.
