‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Neflix: Tina Fey New Sitcom Great As ’30 Rock’

"30 Rock," Tina Fey's first stint into the creation of a sitcom, was a major success with audiences and critics alike throughout its seven seasons, with its absurd humor based on Fey's time as a head writer in "Saturday Night Live" - now, Liz Lemon brings her newest show, "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," to Netflix!

Fey's previous show, "30 Rock," won a total of 6 Golden Globe Awards during its time on air, as well as 16 Emmy Awards, besides multiple other nominations and accolades before its ending in 2013 after starting in 2006, and Fey expects to bring the same success to her "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Netflix project.

According to Rolling Stone Magazine, the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Netflix run is actually a surprise in itself, as it was originally intended to be an NBC production (originally intended as a 13-episode show to follow the success of "30 Rock," the previous Fey-NBC collaboration after she worked on SNL for years), it was ultimately sold to the on-demand streaming website, as they ordered two seasons.

After the premiere of its full first season (with 13 episodes), the good reviews for the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Netflix show have been pouring in for the series, with AV Club calling it "what a Netflix sitcom should be," odd premise and all, as it's about a woman who has been in a fallout shelter after 15 years of being convinced that an apocalypse had finished Earth off.

Of course, as Slate Magazine's review of the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Netflix first season explains, this might explains why the sitcom was ultimately turned down by NBC, as the topic seems widely outside its comfort zone, though surely Fey's fans will love it nonetheless.

While Fey doesn't star in the new show, she did team up once more with "30 Rock" producer Robert Carlock to create the show, which stars "The Office" Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski, who played Jenna Maroney in "30 Rock" - give the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" Netflix show a shot this weekend!
