This turkey avocado sandwich is great for the lunch box or picnic food.
Ingredients
2 ripe and fresh avocados
6 slices of flat sourdough bread
3 tbsp salsa
3 roasted red pepper
1 pound smoked turkey, thinly sliced
3 red onions, thinly sliced, halved and separated into rings,
3 slices pepper jack cheese
2 romaine lettuce leaves
Directions
1. Peel and seed 2 avocados, and halve them.
2. Mash 1 avocado and mix with salsa.
3. Toast the bread. Spread mashed avocado of 2 over the bread.
4. Layer pepper strips, onions, slices of turkey, and pepper jack cheese on the bread.
5. Slice the remaining avocado and place on top of the cheese.
6. Place lettuce on the top
7. Place the bread top and press down firmly to compress ingredients.
