Following possibly the most controversial film release in the past decade, after a lot of expectation surrounding the movie and an odd release in only a few theaters and on-demand online services, now it's "The Interview" Netflix time, so everyone in the United States with a subscription to the service can watch it.

Of course, it's no surprise that "The Interview" on Netflix took a shorter time to appear than usual, seeing as how every detail involving the film for the past month has been different than any other release; since this Saturday, users will be able to enjoy the film on their Netflix accounts!

As Engadget reports, now that users can find "The Interview" on Netflix, it has officially become the easiest movie to watch, after it's been online for a full month, following the controversy last December where North Korean hackers under Kim Jong-un leaked a great number of internal e-mails from Sony Pictures and threatened to do more if the movie was launched.

Before users could find "The Interview" on Netflix, there were a few days were it was thought the film wouldn't be released at all, after Sony Pictures made the announcement - but, after so much pressure that it even included a speech by President Barack Obama where he asked the Sony executives not to cave in to terrorists.

As News-Record reports, Sony Pictures claims that the film has made about $40 million from its online release, which featured rentals and purchases, plus making about $6 million in its small release in theaters - and, now, the film will also be available for streaming in the North American versions of Netflix, which is to say in both the United States and Canada.

As Decider.com reports, besides being able to find now "The Interview" on Netflix, other releases for this week include the Evan Rachel Wood romantic comedy "Barefoot" and the stand-up Netflix special "Iliza Shlesinger: Freezing Hot."
