Flavor Flav Show: Reality Star Pleads Not Guilty To Felony Traffic Charges

After the Flavor Flav show and his stints in VH1 reality television a few years back, the rapper has been in the spotlight ever since, and the latest news regarding the man behind "Flavor of Love" is that, as he faces trial in New York, he's pleaded not guilty.

The latest Flavor Flav show isn't related to him getting anyone contracts, finding a new girlfriend or even co-existing with other celebrities of old days: currently, he's facing trial for a felony driving charge, after he was arrested last year on a traffic stop.

According to The New York Daily News, the Flavor Flav show occurred in January 2014, as the rapper and reality star was driving to his mother's funeral; as he was stopped, it was discovered he was driving with a suspended license, and was arrested on the spot.

The Washington Times reported that the Flavor Flav show then continued over the following months, as his attorney, Indji Bessim, stated that they were trying to reach a plea agreement, though this was evidently unsuccessful, as the rapper went on court in the past week to face charges, though pleading not guilty to the felony charge of driving with a suspended license, as well as two misdemeanor and a speeding violation from that same day.

As The New Zealand Herald reports, though, this is hardly Flavor Flav's first dealing with the law - it's not even the first in the past year. A Nevada resident, the rapper, real name William Jonathan Drayton, Jr., faced charges of attempted battery and battery from domestic violence and misdemeanors, after he pulled out a knife to the 17 year-old son of his longtime girlfriend. Over the past April, the rapper pleaded guilty to these charges, which meant he just underwent counseling and went through probation.

The next date for the new Flavor Flav show in the New York courthouse is set for February 3.
