Dog Abandoned with suitcase was found in a Scottish train station and authorities were trying to find whoever left the male shar-pei crossbreed Friday night, Jan.2.
Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals stated that the owner of dog abandoned with suitcase will be held responsible for leaving the dog.
With modern technology, the local animal welfare charity was able to identify the dog abandoned with suitcase as Kai through microhip. The dog was found with suitcase containing his belongings that include dog's pillow, food bowl, toy and food, BBC reported.
In Scotland, animal abandonment is considered as an offense that whoever will be found guilty of abandoning an animal could be banned from owning animals permanently under the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006.
"This case highlights the potential consequences of selling an animal online as it often leads to the impulse buying of pets that people know very little about," the animal welfare charity, SPCA says in a statement.
When the dog abandoned with suitcase in Ayr train station was identified, the charity welfare first located the original owner of Kai. But the previous owner had sold the dog back in 2013.
Since the dog abandoned with suitcase was found the SPCA has posted about the dog information on its official Facebook page. It automatically garnered more than 4,000 likes and was shared over 9, 500 times.

The dog abandoned with suitcase has perfect health except for his eyes that would need operation. Kai was previously sold by the original owner through Gumtree website in 2013 to unidentified second owner.
