Kornegay sisters Kill Brother- a 15 and 11 year-old sisters were arrested and charged for shooting their older brother, 16, who died in a single shot in Florida. The older sister claimed that she was abused and maltreated for number of years, and was locked in a room that day by her brother.

Keith Kornegay, 37, and Misty Kornegay, 33, the parents of the Kornegay sisters, kill brother were out-of-town when the shooting incident happened. They were charged of child neglect causing bodily harm according to NY Daily News. They were ordered not to see their kids and a bail of $20,000 has been set.

The Florida prosecutors are still weighing the evidences before final decision will be made on the fratricide case. Since the sisters were only 11 and 15, the prosecutors are going to make a decision if they will be charged as adults. There is 30 days allotted for the final verdict of the decision.

Kornegay sisters, kill brother were identified as Misty "Ariel" Renee Kornegay, 15, and Nicole Kornegay, 11. According to Buzzfeed, new details about the Kornegay sisters, kill brother surfaced. Nicole apparently freed Misty who was locked in a room by her brother.

Feeling made about her brother, Ariel got into his parents room by breaking a glass window outside and got a 9 millimeter handgun and loaded it while the younger sister watch. She went to the living room where Damien, 16 was sleeping in a couch and fired the gun. He died instantly in a single gunshot.

After the Kornegay sisters, kill brother, they fled and left their youngest sister, 3 alone in the house with the lifeless body of their brother. The two sisters walked four miles away from their home until they reached a Dollar General Store. They called their mother's friend who then called the police.

The case of the Kornegay sisters, who killed their brother, was found to be one of the rare cases that happened in Columbia County where homicides rarely happen. Last year, there was no case of killing in the county, which is between Jacksonville and Tallahassee.

When the police arrived at the store, the Kornegay sisters, kill brother, appeared to be hiding about the incident. They told the police officers that they were kicked out of their home while the 15-year-old Ariel was doing makeup. But after some minutes, the two confessed about the shooting and burst into tears.

At the time the Kornegay sisters, kill brother, their parents were out on a truck driving job. The mother, Misty Kornegay, unemployed accompanied her husband who was a truck driver while leaving all the kids under the care of Damien, the oldest kid which they claimed was a common scene.

CNN reported that after the shooting incident, the youngest, 3-year-old daughter is now in the care of a child protection agency. The parents were also arrested while the two sisters were detained in a separate detention cell- in Ocala and the other in Gainesville for 21 days plus nine days.

The case of the Kornegay sisters, kill brother was not the first time that police responded to their home. Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter reported to reporters that first time was in July 2011 for a juvenile case, second was on March 2013 for property damage and the third was on Sept. 2013 for "civil" issues.
