Good Food Festival & Conference Opens March 15-17

The 2012 Good Food Festival and Conference is coming to UIC Forum, Chicago. FamilyFarmed.org which presents this festival provide an opportunity to get a bigger picture of Chicago's local food by encountering Midwest artisans and farmers, and attending seminars and conferences on growing and producing food.

The purpose of the Good Food Festival & Conference is to link the best local farmers and family-owned farm producers' products with the public, trade buyers and leaders to foster the local food systems.

The day starts with in-depth workshops featuring nationally recognized speakers and experts. The conference continues with presentations on topics such as growing and preserving your own food, and eating on a budget. A variety of programs are prepared for the three days.

Food producers and farmers interested in growing their business should attend the Good Food Financing Conference to learn about funding opportunities and connect with banks and investors interested in financing growth.

- Tradeshow Conference & Policy Summit, March 16, 2012
The local food industry is presented with solutions to the challenges of local food sourcing at the Trade Show and Conference. It’s a fantastic opportunity for buyers to discover food businesses and distributors. The Policy Summit brings together food advocates and policy makers to discuss local food systems and food access.

For individuals and families, the Festival offers Midwest artisan and farmer exhibitors, workshops on growing and making food, chef demos, family-friendly activities, and nationally significant speakers.
