After the incursion of Taco Bell in the fast food breakfast offering market, the company that has only been doing this for six months has now released its newest breakfast item, the Biscuit Taco, taking after the fashion of their previous Waffle Taco.
Taco Bell has reached the breakfast options of America and is looking forward to stepping up to the plate by offering interesting and different options for those who value the most important meal of the day; now, in their latest stint, they're trying out a new Biscuit Taco available at selected venues across the country.
According to USA Today, the latest Biscuit Taco has a concept fairly similar to another Taco Bell breakfast meal, the Waffle Taco: it's not really so much a tortilla but rather a biscuit shaped to look like a taco, just as the other menu item is in reality a waffle shaped as a taco.
According to The Huffington Post, the new Biscuit Taco has already been tested in San Antonio, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia - but it's still in its first stages prior to a major release across the country, as well as being tested in the Los Angeles and Orange County area.
Now, for those fans of eating anything resembling a taco for breakfast, you should know that the so-called Biscuit Taco can contain: sausage, eggs and cheese; bacon, an egg and cheese; sausage and cheese; egg and cheese and, finally, sausage and gravy.
"The Biscuit Taco pays homage to the traditional Southern biscuit - made with real butter and real buttermilk," stated Taco Bell in a press release, according to The Wire. "And for that Taco Bell twist consumers have come to expect, the NEW signature jalapeno honey sauce (served with the Crispy Chicken and Honey Biscuit Taco) delivers just the right amount of heat."
