Who is the Real Sony Hackers? How Will US Government Responds to this Issue?

Before the Thanksgiving, Sony Pictures was reportedly hacked by Guardians of Peace. There is this strong suspicion that North Korea sponsored the hacking of Sony Pictures stealing important documents of the company even important and confidential emails of Sony executives. It is suspected that North Korea seriously stop the release of the Sony's movie, "The Interview" in which will depict Kim Jhong Un, leader of North Korea.

North Korea is discreet about its activities and also falsifies information. Hence, it is difficult to collect necessary information and even the simple or basic details like population. But the question here is, does North Korea do really have motives, opportunity or even means to carry out such kind of attack against Sony Pictures? It might be yes!

Here are some of the means and motives of North Korea why such hacking happens.

June 2014 when the KCNA news agency stated, "making and releasing a movie on a plot to hurt our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will absolutely not be tolerated." Because of this, North Korea was trying to stop the Sony Pictures as well as the White House and United Nations not to release the movie.

However, after they failed to stop Sony Pictures diplomatically North Korea might be the reason why they have decided to pursue the hacking. The refusal of their request might be the strong reason why they are motivated to do such crime. Moreover, North Korea already knew about the film for five months already which gave them the chance to plan the cyber attack against Sony Pictures.

Because of this, how will the United States reacts to this issue? US should deter further damage to its people as well as corporations. They should convince N. Korea to stop because they have more to lose than to gain.
