EUFA Last 16 Fixtures Revealed: FC Barcelona Will Face Manchester City

UEFA Champions League's last 16 fixtures are already out after the draw that took place last Monday. The best football clubs in Europe will once again be targeting each other in the sports most interesting league.

Manchester City, Premier League's current title holder, will face off against Spanish La Liga giants FC Barcelona. This is probably the most interesting matchup in the upcoming last 16 stage. Chelsea will be playing Paris Sant-Germain, the very team they eliminated during the quarterfinal stage of last year's Champion's League. Arsenal will face off with Monaco. Arsene Wenger, current Arsenal manager will square off with the club that he manages in the past. Current title holder Real Madrid will be playing Schalke 04. FC Shakhtar Donetsk will play Bayern Munchen. Basel will play FC Porto. Juventus will play Borussia Dortmund. Bayer Leverkusen will play Altetico de Madrid.

The first leg of the last 16 stage will be hosted by the unseeded teams from on either Feb. 17, 18, 24 and 25. The second leg will follow on Mar 10, 11, 17 and 18. The championship game will be played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany.

Here are some interesting facts following the last 16 draw. Manchester and Barcelona will be facing for the second consecutive time in the last 16. Last year saw the Spanish club defeating the Premier League champion with aggregate score 4-1.

Real Madrid will be facing Schalke for the second consecutive time as well. Last year, Real Madrid thrashed Schalke leaving them with 9-2 aggregate.

While Arsenal and Monaco have never squared off before, it is interesting to point that Arsene Wenger who managed Monaco from 1987 to 1994 is Arsenal's current manager. With Wenger as manager, Monaco won the Ligue 1 title on 1988 and the Coupe de France last 1991. Wenger also helped Monaco reach the 1992 European Winners' Cup final only to lose 2-0 to SV Werder Bremen.
