Street Fighter V: To Be Released Exclusively To PlayStation

A lot of people are still wondering how Street Fighter crawled its way towards the PlayStation 4 banner. Probably due to the fact that Microsoft let the classic game slipped through its fingers. For now, the classic fighting-game which helped redefined the gaming industry finds a new home in the form of Sony's PlayStation 4 console.

The newest reincarnation of Street Fighter introduces a new character, Charlie Nash. Charlie have already appeared in previous versions of Street Fighter, specifically Street Fighter Alpha, but as the latest trailer shows, Capcom has a new and perhaps better version of the character.

As a promotional stunt, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono took the stage dressed as Charlie Nash and discussed their newest game, Street Fighter V, in front of hundreds of fans during the Capcom Cup Tournament. As stated in their latest press release, fans of the game will have the ability to play against each other using the cross-platform technology that Capcom developed. This means that players using the console version of the game can go head-to-head against players who are playing the PC version of the game. This mode of gaming will definitely open up a whole new world when it comes to joint gaming.

Fans of the classic fighting-game are all excited about the news. However, Capcom has not yet released an exact date as to when they are going to release their genre-defining game.

Street Fighter or more commonly referred to as SF is a series of fighting game developed by the Japanese company Capcom. It features different playable characters from around the world fighting with their own unique fighting style. It was first released in the arcade world in 1987 with Ryu as the only playable character. Through the years, Capcom has developed and design various characters for the game. Among the most notable of these characters are Chun-Li, Guile, Akuma and Bison.
