ConAgra Foods, Inc., based in Omaha, Nebraska announced on November 9,2012 expansion of its Lamb Weston frozen potato facility in Boardman, Oregon. This strategic investment estimated $200 million will add a new line to the plant - increasing capacity for making french fries and other frozen potato products - and is expected to create approximately 100 jobs for the region. -
'Hostess Facing Nationwide Strike - Selected Bakeries will be Closed
Hostess Brands Inc. based in Irvng, Texas announced on November 12, 2012 that it will permanently close three bakeries as a result of a nationwide strike initiated on November 9 by the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union (Bakers Union) that has prevented the facilities from producing and delivering products. -
