The Fault In Our Stars Update: Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort Recreate Scene During Dedication Ceremony

The lead stars in the hit movie "The Fault In Our Stars", a movie inspired from the book writer by John Green, has reunited on Thursday during the Dedication Ceremony and the twosome recreated a special moment from the film.

Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort reunited as they sat at the Amsterdam park bench scene from the film and they did it the exact same way they did when they filmed the movie sans the tank where Woodley's character gets air to help her breathe normally.

The bench is actually the material being dedicated to the film and it has a small plaque in honor of the fans who have supported the said movie. The bench will now have a permanent home under a tree located at the 20th Century Fox studio lot back in Los Angeles.

The bench scene was actually featured in the scene when Augustus, played by Elgort, tells Hazel, the character played by Woodley, that his cancer has recurred. This was during their last day of their trip in Europe to meet the author of the book, which kickstarted their bond. The iconic scene was actually used in many advertising materials to promote the hit film.

Elgort posted a photo of the re-make of the scene on his Instagram account. He wrote: "Re creating the moment :) #tfios."

Woodley also talked about the dedication ceremony and she said that she actually could not help but cry as she pressed that the bench is the perfect tribute.

Green was also in the said ceremony and he talked about how special the location is to him. He said, "I remember being in Amsterdam finishing the book. I sat a lot on those benches near the canals, thinking about the story. I remember seeing Shailene and Ansel sitting on that bench in the filming, and thinking how it had all come full circle. But I never thought I'd see that bench near murals of The Simpsonsand Star Wars."

Green also joked that for people to get to see the iconic bench, they would have to sneak in to get to the lot where the bench is placed.
