Great Dane nineteen puppies- a Great Dane in Pennsylvania gave birth to nineteen puppies. The Great Dane known as Snowy gave birth to the large brood late October.
The Great Dane nineteen puppies story has managed to attract many dog lovers to the Pennsylvania town. Snowy, who is the dog of two New York residents, Brandon and Aimie Terry, gave birth last October to the large litter. The dog gave birth about two weeks in advance of when the owners had speculated.
Snowy was initially taken to hospital when the owner determined that she was pregnant. In the course of her examination, the vets did and x ray on her that showed fifteen spines within her. The vets told the dog owners that Snowy was giving birth to 15 puppies. Ususally the brood size is about 8 puppies.
Come the day for the actual giving birth, Brandon was doing house work in the yard when he heard certain noises that resembled the purring of cat. He went inside and found that Snowy had already given birth to six puppies. Later on, Snowy was taken to hospital where the remainder of the puppies were given birth to. The Great Dane nineteen puppies litter was complete.
The owners of the dogs are now saying they want to find homes for the little puppies before Christmas. As at the moment, the young puppies are exploring about, playing with each other and fighting around. They are cuddly and cute, before they grow to about three feet tall dogs.
The owners have reported that they want 18 of the 19 dogs to be given out. There are currently ten males and eight females on offer.
The largest brood of dogs, according to the Guiness Book of the World Records is twenty four puppies. They were born in 2004 in England to a Neopolitan maistiff via C- section.
