Buddy Dog Hitches Ride After Owner Is Taken To Hospital

Buddy Dog Hitches Ride - In Mason, Texas, a 4-year-old dog named Buddy hitched the ambulance in which his owner was.

The event took place on Oct. 26, when J.R. Nicholson, a Texas rancher, felt dizzy and Brian Wright, his helper in the farm, called an ambulance, ABC 6 reported.

Nicholson is an 85-year-old man and the ambulance came to get him and take the rancher to Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

What none of them were expecting was that Buddy, Nicholson's dog, would follow them all the way. Buddy hitched after the ambulance.

At one point, a motorist flagged down the ambulance to let them know that a dog was indeed hitching after them. Then, the doctors in the ambulance let Buddy get in and accompany them to the hospital.

Wright had no idea about this and once he reached the hospital separately, he was told about Buddy's adventure to be with his owner. What he did first was retrieve the dog from the ambulance, WTHR noted.

After that, and once Nicholson was stable and good once again, Wright took his boss and Buddy back to the farm.

It happened that Nicholson was asked about Buddy and what he felt about the dog and his actions.

"I think a lot of my 4-year-old Buddy," was the simple and yet heartfelt statement that Nicholson shared.

This gesture showed by Buddy is not only remarkable as the part-beagle dog did not only hitch the ambulance and then got to be with his owner on the way, but it also shows why the dog is man's best friend.

If there is one animal that's been famous for its incredible fidelity to its owner, that's the dog. After all, he's chosen for a reason as one of the favorite pets.

Buddy demonstrated his fidelity and the true love that an animal can truly feel by hitching that ambulance and not resting until being by his owner's side.
